RSS Feeds: Can't see images unless I have internet connection

I think BeyondPod is pretty awesome. On my Dell Axim X51v, it works perfectly for podcasts but I seem to have some issue with RSS feeds.

When I have the Axim docked and have internet connectivity passed through from the PC, I can see the images in the RSS feeds. If I am offline, I can only see the text in the feed, not the images. It would seem odd for BeyondPod to easily download podcasts from feeds but not the images, so I am assuming it is something on my end.

Originally even images from the GUI were not displaying (the ones for Play, Delete, etc.) but it was because I had Pocket IE set to hide images, and I changed it to show images. Now I can see the GUI images offline, but not the ones from the feed.

Is anyone else having this issue? Is it by design?

BeyondPod downloads the content of the feed, but not the links to resources referred from the content (including links to images). In order to see the feed images you need an active internet connection.
